DRC Clothing: It’s Cool To Be Conscious

My boy, Eric Ndelo, has his own clothing line creating unique printed tees and hats. DRC (his roots are in the Democratic Republic of Congo) is clothing you won’t see in mainstream stores. Eric designs the graphics himself, and he also produces custom designed shirts for those seeking something not found in his collection. For those attending the Beautiful Black Woman Festival, Eric will be vending and you’ll be able to view his ecclectic collection. And I must say, the graphics and messages are HOT! Just check
out my sister Noni below, rocking one of the designs. Anyone interested in purchasing DRC clothing can check out the Spring 2006 catalog here. And to order, drop Eric a line at sales@nufacesnc.com or drclothing.co@gmail.com

“This is not a style, it is a way of life”

Vloggercon Fundraiser: Goal Was Met!

In a short period of time I was able to raise the money needed to take my trip. Thanks to everyone who donated and supported me throughout this fundraiser. Now I’m off to San Francisco! (well, in about 3 more weeks)

Thanks Blogsboro!

I am new to the Blogsboro community and I must say, you guys are amazing. Over the course of a few hours, Ed Cone and Billy the Blogging Poet had written posts about my fundraising. Thanks for the support everyone. I know that I’ll have to come correct when I videoblog this experience.

Vloggercon Update!

Right now I’m looking at about $450 round trip (Southwest Airlines). But of course as the time passes the prices will go up. Will be posting a talley very soon so readers can see how much has been raised. Thanks to those who’ve donated thus far.

Send Me To Vloggercon 2006

Some of you may have noticed a new addition to my sidebar. No, the paypal button is not just for decoration–I seriously need money. Right now I have my heart set on attending Vloggercon 2006. I’m new to the blogosphere, and am also in the nascent stages of video blogging. So I’m hungry for knowledge about the “vlogosphere.” My motto is “get to vloggercon by any means necessary (minus any sort of criminal activity, violence, underhanded business, anything demoralizing…well you get the picture). And being that my funds are meager (starving student), that leaves asking. Asking anyone who feels they want to help, and are able to help. Thanks in advance for anyone who can donate–even if it’s $1. I’m only raising money for the plane ticket. Oh, and I will be documenting my trip through video for all to see.

See Vloggercon Update.
