Anyone close to me knows that I was extremely excited about Vloggercon 2006, and even more charged about what I could deliver in terms of my experience at the conference. Well I’m sad to say that excitement began to take a dive after my plane connection in Detroit on Friday. I felt a little sick, but I just shrugged it off as “air sickness.” Then, 10 minutes after landing in San Francisco I was hugging the toilet and puking something fierce. On Saturday, I felt worse and decided to rest so that I would have a chance of at least enjoying the activities on Sunday. But on Sunday I felt worse than Saturday. Now by this time I’m not even thinking about the conference, I’m just concerned with getting back to the east coast and in my own bed (I mean I would rather be sick at home than over 2,000 miles away while I’m a guest in someone’s home). So that was my Vloggercon trip. Today I feel much better (Mon. and Tues. was difficult). I still can’t believe I traveled that long way without attending one session–very disappointing. But there is a bright side; I met Mary Hodder, whom I lodged with. She was too kind, and kept reassuring me that she was ok with me being there even though I was so sick. We talked briefly between my bouts of sickness, and I’m looking forward to meeting her again under different circumstances. Perhaps if she attends Converge South!
mood: disappointed and tired

Hey, I had been patiently waiting for a post. I was really looking forward to hearing about your trip; I’m ever so sorry to hear you were sick the whole time. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better though. c-ya around.
Hi, I have set up an African Women’s Reblog at:
http://www.africanwomenblogs.com/africanwomen.html
Myself and Mshairi are hoping to develop the REblog into a space for African women - we are not sure what yet but would appreciate it if you would have a look through the reblog and add a link to it on your blog.
many thanks
Sorry you didn’t get a chance to participate. Sometimes disappointments lead to greater accomplishments down the road. The universe has a way of striking a balance….keep your head up.

Murphy’s law strikes again.
Hope you’re feeling better now.
Sounds like you were able to at least come away from the experience with a few contacts.
Take care.
Hey,
I’m sorry to hear about Vloggercon. Well, hopefully you’ll be able to make it out there next year. Atleast you made one decent contact. I am happy that we were able to reconnect and I hope you know again that you always have a friend in me and I am always only a phone call away. Best of luck to you.
Much love,
Chris
